In the beginning ...

Was the WORD; and the Word was with GOD ... and the WORD was GOD.  The Holy Spirit came upon the young Virgin Mary. The power of the Most High overshadowed her and she conceived. The Word became flesh and dwelt among us. His name was Jesus. At the age of 33, He was falsely accused, betrayed, beaten and scourged; handed over to the Roman governor Pontius Pilate who declared him "Not Guilty"... and then had him crucified; nailed and hung on a wooden cross. In the midst of his passion he declared, "It is Finished! Father, Into your hands I commend my spirit!" Then he gave up the ghost and died. His body was laid in a tomb,  but Death could not hold him. Three days later, he was raised to Life again.

"He was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time. For I am the least of the apostles, that am not meet to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God. But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me. Therefore whether it were I or they, so we preach, and so ye believed ..."

(1st Corinthians 15: 5-11)

On the night before he was to endure one of the most severe beatings and die one of the most savage deaths mankind has ever devised, our Lords last wish was for us …   the wish that we would all be One. GOD in Him and he in Us, through the Spirit of our Father. Think about that … on the last night of his earthly life, just hours before he would walk the “Villa Dolorosa” to his final fate … we, were on his mind. He wanted his disciples, his Body, his Church to be One... In light of this demonstration, of the  great Love of our Lord, Please join with me in making this Declaration:

I declare,

I will do my best,  to do my part, to bring Unity to the Body of Christ.

I will acknowledge, appreciate & celebrate, the Common Creeds we hold Sacred.

I will honor, our denominational differences, & embrace our spiritual diversity.

I will refrain, from backbiting, gossip, libel or slander of any of my spiritual family.

I will not, "... Sow discord among my Brethren." ( Proverbs 6:19 )

I will daily seek, to love the LORD with all my heart & love my neighbor as myself.

I will pray to keep in constant remembrance, the prayer of our Lord in the Garden.

We are all brothers and sisters,

who hold true the words of this scroll in our hearts!
